While waiting for new stuff from MGMT, French Horn Rebellion will take over their space in my heart and ears. Why the comparison? Well, they sound like MGMT but FHR is far more dancey. But weather they sound alike or not, French Horn Rebellion has their own unique interpretation of dance music- fun, melodic plus quirky attitude. BTW, they are brothers. wala lang.

A Not So Halloween Halloween Night

We weren't dressed to scare last Halloween night but we had so much fun wearing our own skin- i think that's scary enough. :) We went to Penguin and enjoyed a full set of Talahib (Pinikpikan minus the girl vocalist). It was cultural overload. I havent listened to world music lately and that night was like the day I first appreciate the genre.

This might not be one of Wawi Navarroza's remarkable works but the randomness of her exhibit gives an instant nostalgia to unusual places and yet so familiar. I haven't seen The Late Isabel perform for like million years so I was happy to be there that night. Wawi's voice was enchanting as always and The Sleepyheads was crazy! Loved Jayvee del Rosario's one-man performance.. hahaha
