ANALOG DIARY: Zambales that I used to know (ZAMBALES!)

I went to Zambales last month for my nephew's birthday. It's been ages since I last visited so I decided to stay a little longer. Here's my Auntie Maritess.

Went to this Aunt's house and saw a lot of photos of the former president.

It was nice to go back to one of my favorite places. It brought me back to my childhood. Those times when I'd rather live there than in Manila. Though a lot has changed, it's still the Zambales that I used to know. Hahaha couldn't help it.

ANALOG DIARY: Siem Reap, Cambodia 2013

Since I haven't developed my films from our Vietnam trip, I'm going to start my SE Asian backpacking series of posts with Siem Reap. Siem Reap is a province in the northwestern part of Cambodia. We traveled for more than 10 hours via a limousine bus from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. I think there was a budget flight but we chose to rough it up a little bit and endure the long ride. Good thing the bus wasn't full so I got to have the two-seater by myself. It was all worth it.

We stayed in a nice area where everything is a walking distance.

One of the things that I loved about this place was the quaint restos and shops.

The following morning, we decided to wonder around town. There were a lot of street stalls selling fruit shakes and this one uses yogurt instead of milk for only a dollar. BTW, US dollar is the main currency used here.

Speaking of quaint shops. We saw this little shop in an alley selling interesting stuff from local artists.
