I literally waited for so many hours upon reading the news about the release of The Strokes' new single to be streamed and downloaded for free through the band's website for only 48 hours. Under Cover of Darkness is the lead single of the band's new album Angel, their recording after 5 years of hiatus as a group. We all know Julian Casablancas attempt to do a solo career but it seems that he's well fit with a band. Although I liked his electro-dance sound, Casablancas is just better in doing an all out rock music.Listening to Under Cover of Darkness is like revisiting The Strokes first album Is This It where their distinct 70s garage rock sound with modern pop influence helped them stood out.
