NEW MUSIC: Hawaiian Air + Blue Cassette by Friendly Fires

The Friendly Fires released two tracks from their upcoming album Pala this week online. First is Hawaiian Air which sounds like a perfect jingle for an airliner with the same name for its sunshiny summery feel.


Blue Cassette on the other hand has that pulsating tribal noise of Kiss of Life and the catchy chorus of Skeleton Boy which sounds like a template for this track.


Pala is set to come out this month but there's already a leaked version of it. Nothing's impossible anymore ;)

NEW MUSIC: Live Those Days Tonight by Friendly Fires

I don't know if it's just me or the new song of Friendly Fires sounds like Rick Astley? Live Those Days Tonight is included in their much anticipated(?) sophomore album Pala to be released on May 16. I don't know what to expect from FF's comeback effort but I'm betting there's gonna be a 90's revival.

Bat For Lashes Sings For Gucci

Bat For Lashes a.k.a Natasha Khan did a fantastic cover of Depache Mode's Strangelove for the upcoming Gucci Guilty For Him TVC. Last year, Friendly Fires did the same cover for Gucci Guilty for women commercial starring Evan Rachel Wood and Chris Evans. You can stream both versions below.

After making us dance like it was 80's again with Skeleton Boy, Friendly Fires' new single will surely make your hips go ballistic. The carnivalesque "Kiss of Life" is their first single off of their forthcoming untitled CD. This new single from Friendly Fires is the best soundtrack for fiestas as it's samba-like beats will make you feel like you're in a fiestival in Rio.

The accompanying video is a smash hit. For me, atleast. Ed Macfarlane's dancing is infectious, i found myself imitating it while watching the video. So get your maracas and your mascaras and go get yourself a Brazilian wax. "Kiss Of Life"will be released as a single by XL Recordings on 31st August 2009.
