Goodbye MTV Philippines!

My childhood's early tutor for everything cool is nothing but an empty channel we used to call MTV Philippines.

Last night, at exactly midnight, MTV Philippines went off air bidding everybody goodbye with Buggles' Video Killed The Radio Star- the first music video ever played on MTV. It was a sad moment as I was watching the Buggles' music video expecting for it to be the last one. And as it ends, everything just went black.

Well, I wasn't really watching MTV recently because 80% of its programming was devoted to crappy reality shows. No plans yet if MTV Asia will be shown again in the Philippines after pulling it out from all local cable channels. So I guess we just have to enjoy MYX or Channel [V] for now.
