The compilation includes tracks from Suicide, Felt, Television Personalities, The Velvet Underground, etc and this track which is a cover of the 80's post-punk classic of band Bauhaus.

Here's the original version from Bauhaus...

MUST LISTEN: Party in the USA (Miley Cyrus cover) by Tokyo Police Club

/ 6.9.11 /

What a quirky way to end the Polaroid-sponsored 10 Days 10 Covers 10 Years series of Tokyo Police Club singing Miley Cyrus' Party in the USA. I must admit (please dont judge me), this song is my fave Miley Cyrus song. hahaha There I said it! I cant imagine the boys from Tokyo Police Club playing this song and dancing Miley choreographies. lol. If you wanna check the other songs they covered, go to Polaroid.com

MUST LISTEN: Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall (Coldplay cover) by Robyn

/ 3.8.11 /

Chris Martin should've given this track to Robyn instead coz she sang it better than him. Well call me biased but really, this version of Every Teardrop is a Waterfall is way better than Coldplay's. What do you think?

MUST LISTEN: As Above So Below (cover) by Anais Aida

/ 12.6.11 /

If you dig Erykah Badu and India.Arie, then you'll surely love Anais Aida. It's good to know that there are still artists these days who choose to create simple, uncomplicated music rather than jumping into the electro bandwagon. Anais' music is soulful and she has one of the most beautiful voices i've heard. As Above So Below is a cover of Anthony David's song and a part of 4 covers Anais will be releasing this month prior to her official first single Love Can Burn. DOWNLOAD HERE

MUST LISTEN: Someone Like You (Adele cover) by Jamie Woon

/ 30.3.11 /

I am not so sure if i like Jamie Woon's version of Adele's Someone Like You. But since I am so into this song, Im going to post here and let you hear it. Thoughts?

NEW MUSIC: Set Fire To The Rain & Lovesong (The Cure cover) by Adele

/ 21.1.11 /

I dunno why every time I see Adele I think of Mich Dulce. Probably they are both pretty and talented. Anyway, Adele's sophomore album 21 will be out three days from now and I've got two new tracks for you to get even more excited. When I heard her carrier single Rolling In The Deep, I was kind of disappointed or I was just expecting too much. Her second single, Set Fire to the Rain is an awesome ballad that builds up your emotion until its final note.

Set Fire to the Rain

And as a bonus, I also posted another amazing track from Adele's 21 album. This time, it's a cover of The Cure's classic Lovesong. The 311 version was my favorite cover of this song but during these rainy days, Adele's version is more appropriate.

MUST LISTEN: Crystalized(The xx cover) by Gorillaz or Blur?

/ 27.11.10 /

I like it how the guest band/artist on the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge do cover songs and how they make it their own. The recent guest was the virtual superstars Gorillaz and they performed stripped-down versions of On Melancholy Hill and their new single Doncamatic. They also did a fantastic cover of The xx's Crystalized which sounded like Damon Albarn forgot that he's not singing for Blur coz it doesnt sound like Gorillaz at all.You can watch the whole performance below.

MUST LISTEN: By Your Side(Sade Cover) by Gayngs

/ 19.11.10 /

Check out Gayngs' version of Sade's sexy hit By Your Side recorded during their Daytrotter session. I dont know if Gayngs name themselves like that because of their sexual orientation. But one thing is certain, this act is one of the best bands who came out this year. Gayngs consists of 23 members which includes the vocalist of Bon Iver, Justin Vernon.

MUSTWATCH/LISTEN: I Wanna Be Adored (The Stone Roses cover) by The Raveonettes

/ 7.9.10 /
I saw The Last Exorcism last weekend and thought it was one of the best movies I've seen this year.

The "possessed" girl was wearing cherry red DMs the whole time(coolness!) and I always wanted to have a pair in that color.

So, since there's no DMs store in the Philippines anymore, I went online to check where I can buy those boots. But instead, I found out that Doc Martens is celebrating its 50th year and commissioned 10 artists to record versions of cult classic songs 'which represents the spirit of the people who've worn DM's over the past 50 years.' The 10 artists/bands are Noisettes, The Duke Spirit, DāM-FunK, Buraka Som Sistema, The Cinematic Orchestra, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, N.A.S.A. and The Raveonettes who did a cover of The Stone Roses' classic I wanna Be Adored(one of my all time favorites).

Here's the video for The Raveonettes' I wanna Be Adored cover and you can watch the rest of the videos from other artsists here
