MUST LISTEN: Hex Girlfriend by Neon Indian

We can finally hear Alan Palomo's voice without sounding like he's in a different underworld. Hex Girlfriend is the third track we've heard from his new album Era Extraña and it seems that Palomo has been experimenting with different styles so that's something to look forward to in this new album. I love the rockability of Hex Girlfriend and Alan sounds cute in this one ;)

AHH!! I've missed out a lot of good releases these past weeks thanks to my Internet provider for delaying everything! And now im connected to the world wide web again, Im gonna turbo blog no matter what! :) One of my fave new releases is from Neon Indian.The lo-fi king's new track, Fallout, didnt leave the psychedelia of Psychic Chasms but this time it's darker and heavier. It's part of his sophomore album Era Extraña which is out on the 13th of September. Alan Palomo, it's you already!!

I don't know where to start but this hot collab between The Flaming Lips and Neon Indian is way too dark to describe. It's rock and chill-wave altogether which kinda sounds like a song from The Mars Volta. They pressed only 1,000 copies of the 12" and it's already sold out after days of release.

Let's have a natural high for a moment and start listening to the new track of this one man-psychedelic lo-fi melody maker Alan Palomo, aka Neon Indian. Guys from the Grizzly Bear contributed some mixing and mastering work for this particular track.

MUST LISTEN: Terminally Chill by Neon Indian

If Daft Punk was making music in the 80's, this would probably how they sound. Neon Indian perfected the sound of lost nostalgia where you tend to assume that you are in the era of shoulder pads and hair-raising spray nets thus you're still stuck on the pre-extinction stage of  the earth.

Alan Palomo captures that feel in this track. Terminally Chill suits the title as it hypnotize you to a psychedelic nothingness where you can dance shyly in a hot summer sun.
